Sales Professional – Floor Covering

Job Type: Full-time, Salary

Salary: TBD based on experience


  • Develops and maintains the ability to articulate features, benefits, and warranty information for all products sold at our store.
  • Develops the ability to ask questions to determine the customer’s best product offerings.
  • Keeps up-to-date on the wide selection of flooring and related products we have to offer along with the benefits and warranties provided by each.
  • Listens to and responds knowledgeably and promptly to customer questions in order to recommend products and services that best fit the customer’s needs.
  • Demonstrates sincere appreciation to customers
  • Build rapport with customer & assure them that the salesperson and the company are trustworthy.
  • Communicates information to customers regarding all stock, special order merchandise, feature
  • benefits, installation, maintenance, and warranty information related to all products offered within our stores.
  • Works with customers to create design and details, researches ideas based on customers’ plans, recommends products/services, and provides customers with project estimates consistently gaining customer's commitment to close the sale.
  • Schedules homes for measurement and uses detail information to create or revise project cost estimate.
  • Maintain “Retail Lead Management” Program.
  • Offer and Process same as cash application (Synchrony Financing)
  • Make all paperwork, layout, computer notes understandable for everyone
  • Completes required paperwork for sales activity according to company policy
  • Check sales orders for accuracy
  • Determines final cost and prepares contracts when needed
  • Follows-up with customers to ensure all order and project requirements are satisfactorily met.
  • Stays committed to sold jobs until completed
  • Resolves all issues for our customers (Our customer service is before, during & after the sale)
  • Follow up calls and Secure Final Payments when needed
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge with continued education
  • Perform opening & closing procedures when needed
  • Generate new business - Solicits referrals for new customers, may include cold calls
  • Represents and promotes company in the business community & with other businesses
  • Participate in loss prevention & inventory accuracy
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by management
  • Maintain the neatness and cleanliness of the showroom & assist in merchandising
  • With the sales manager set and achieve sales goals for year / month
